Balance is Built on the Best Foundation
While many say “you don’t need anything” to learn to handstand, that’s not quite true.
You need a floor.
And that’s why we’ve curated a collection of floors we’ve handstood on throughout the years.
Chosen specifically for their grip, texture, and firmness – these floors provide the optimal feel and stability necessary to establish a strong base of support for handstands.
Now you too can train on these premium surfaces. For a limited-time we’ve made these floors available in 64 cm long and 30 cm wide balance boards that you can order through our Handstand Factory Floor Collection Catalog.
These floors came directly from the warehouses where we filmed our programs. So now you can experience them with the floor they were developed on.
Beginner’s Tile
Featured in our Push handstand program it’s grippy but smooth, giving the tactile feedback for proper weight distribution through the palm with clear grout lines to help determine hand and foot placement.
Advanced Concrete
Seen in our Bend and One-Arm Shapes programs, amongst others, it may first seem unforgiving. But the unmatched stability and grip of this floor is ideal for those needing a floor that pushes back.
Oriental Rug
This soft but dense fabric is our preferred surface for our expanded syllabus like headstands, rolls, bridges, and conditioning. You may have spotted it throughout a number of our programs such as Expand and Low Balance. And now this unique piece can furnish your training space too.

Emmet and Mikael have gathered their personal favorite surfaces in this very special collector’s series. Meant to inspire and challenge, pieces of these floors are extremely limited.
Motion Chapel
Whisk yourself away to Ireland and train on the historic floor of the Motion Chapel. This floor is normally reserved for the pilgrims to journey to train privately with Emmet in person, but could be yours.
Mikael’s Apartment
Hibernating upside-down during Norway’s long winters is the secret to Mikael’s incredible handbalancing ability. Every day for months he’d kick-up on this very floor in his 40 sq. meter apartment. Absorb caffeine through your palms from years of spilled coffee for extra focus and enter your own hyperbolic time chamber to gain god-tier balance with this floor.
Lego
Build palms that can handstand on anything. A secret tool in Emmet’s toolbox, this section of Lego will highlight discrepancies in your weight placement, callus your full hand, and help you ‘lock-in’ your handstand.
